Fly-in Safari Double Gorilla Trekking (4 Days)
On this 4-day fly-in safari you will fly from Entebbe straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where mountain gorillas live. You go gorilla trekking on two different days. You will see two different gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Each trek can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are. A ranger walks with you and helps you find them. Seeing the gorillas is a very special moment. You watch them up close. Babies play, mothers care for their young, and the silverback sits quietly watching his family. Between the treks, you will have time to relax at your lodge, take a short forest walk, or visit a nearby village to meet local people, including the Batwa people. Flying in and out saves many hours on the road. You stay in a quiet lodge surrounded by nature.

Your Itinerary In Detail
Day 1 | Domestic flight to Bwindi
Today, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and take you to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Bwindi. You can also choose to fly directly after landing in Entebbe. After immigration and collecting your bags, you board a small aircraft for a scenic flight to southwestern Uganda.
The flight takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. From the air, you see green hills, lakes, and wide open landscapes. It is a beautiful and calm start to your journey. You land at Kihihi Airstrip, where your local guide is waiting to welcome you. From there, you enjoy a short and comfortable drive to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
This park is home to mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, and more than 350 bird species. The forest is green, quiet, and full of life. It is the perfect place to slow down and settle in. Since your first gorilla trek is tomorrow, you enjoy an early dinner and rest well for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 | Your first gorilla trek
After an early breakfast, you head into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your first gorilla trek. This is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences in the world. The walk can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorilla family is that day. You move slowly through thick forest with your ranger, who helps you follow signs and shares simple, interesting facts about the forest and wildlife. When you finally find the gorillas, everything becomes quiet. You spend one hour with them. You watch the silverback sit calmly, mothers care for their young, and babies play nearby. It feels close, peaceful, and very special. In the afternoon, you return to your lodge to relax. If you want, you can take a short forest walk or visit a nearby village and learn about the way of life of the Batwa people.

Day 3 | Your second gorilla trek
After an early breakfast, you go back into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your second gorilla trek. This time, you follow a different trail to meet another gorilla family in a new part of the forest. A skilled ranger guides you again and helps you read the signs of the forest. The walk takes you through thick green trees, fresh air, and quiet paths. The forest feels calm and alive at the same time. When you find the gorillas, you spend one hour with them. You watch them closely as they feed, groom each other, and rest together. The young ones play and swing through the branches while the adults stay calm and watchful. This second trek feels different from the first one. It shows you more of their world and how each family has its own way of living. It is a simple, powerful moment that stays with you long after you leave the forest.

Day 4 | Domestic flight back to Entebbe - Return home
In the morning, your driver-guide will take you to Kihihi Airstrip, about a 90-minute drive from your lodge. Here, you say goodbye to the region.
From Kihihi, you board your flight back to Entebbe, saving you a long road journey of at least 9 hours. The flight takes around 1.5 hours and offers beautiful views over Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Victoria. Depending on the route, the scenery may vary, but it is always a scenic flight in itself.
On arrival in Entebbe, you can prepare for your international flight home. If needed, we can also arrange a driver to take you to your hotel or guesthouse. Here you can rest for the day before your evening transfer to the airport. Please note that the day room is not included in the price. If you would like to use one, you can let us know and we will update your quotation. Lunch and dinner on this day are at your own expense.
