Access And Location
Erebero Hills sits on the northern edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in south-western Uganda. This region is one of the most ecologically rich areas in Africa. Gorilla trekking begins at dawn. Guests are assigned to a group of eight and are accompanied by skilled rangers, trackers, and porters who lead the way into the forest.
The trek can take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the gorillas’ location, and the terrain is steep in places, but the reward is extraordinary.
Once a gorilla family is found, visitors are allowed one magical hour with them.
